Education & Referral program

LOVE volunteers know the agencies and non-profit organizations serving DuPage County well and give helpful referrals to everyone who calls.  LOVE maintains an updated database including food assistance, shelters, counseling, crisis pregnancy services, infant needs pantries, government assistance programs, LIHEAP, job training, budget counseling and many other DuPage services.
 
When a person calls looking for help, our telephone volunteers begin by getting some basic information from the caller.  We need to know what town they live in to better serve them.  Based upon where they live and the type of help they need, our volunteers are able to access our resource directory and provide the callers with agencies to contact.
