The Ministry

Gas vouchers are available to low-income individuals on a one-time basis.  They are distributed to needy individuals by the Downers Grove Township Offices and York Township Offices for LOVE.  A valid license and insurance is required.  The recipient must show current hardship or participate in a government sponsored program for low-income families to be eligible.  A listing of food pantries and free community meals is also provided to each person.  

Church Participation

Churches support this ministry through donations to LOVE that are designated for the purchase of gas vouchers for low-income individuals.  Churches refer people who come to their doors looking for gas vouchers to the Downers Grove or York Township offices.
